Starboard Bio has full control over our own supply-chain. Our partner Ovation purchases stock from farms throughout New Zealand and processes these animals through Ovation plants.

All animals are purchased with an Animal Status Declaration (ASD). The ASD is a legal document that provides animal traceability and must accompany all livestock coming into our processing plants. The ASD contains animal welfare information and is used in the ante-mortem and post-mortem examinations at our processing plants and is integral for determining export eligibility. The ASD also underpins the Government’s export certification process.

Our supply-chain is secure from the source farm right through to the customer.

We can provide traceability right back to the plant and farm source and retain control of our products right through the sourcing, processing, production and delivery steps.

Starboard Bio has strict quality control procedures in every stage of production, including inspection of the raw materials, testing, manufacturing, packaging, and storage.

Our products can be accompanied by Certificate of Microbiological and Physical Analysis, Formulation Certificate, and New Zealand Ministry for Primary Industries Electronic Documentation including Health Certification if applicable.
